First let me give "her" a little description. This is Rosie, as her troops call her. She is the jeep used by my first squad (or the BA crew) on their march through France. She sports a browning .30 cal, and she's ready for action! A tough girl, her troops love her, and do anything they can to make sure nothing happens to her. Credit goes to Daniel Zayac for originally inspiring me to make a jeep of my own, along with numerous others. I couldn't have done it without all of the inspiration from all the great designs I found on the web. Alright, First up is an antique photo of the BA Crew riding through france, circa 1944. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/1223774160m_DISPLAY.jpgNext is a picture of the front. Here you can clearly see the grill. I used a sticker form one of the SW episode three sets. I believe it was the tri-droid. In my opinion, this sticker really makes the jeep. Oh, you can also see the bundle of netting on the hood. 'Cause you never know when you'll need some netting! ;-) http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/12237741611Here's a picture of the right side. There's not much to look at here, so, yeah...... on to the next picture! http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/12237741622This is the back. Here you can kinda see my Jerry can design, but you can't see it in it's full glory here. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/12237741623Here's the left side. It's almost as uneventful as the right side. Except, this is one of the three places that there's BA in the build, there's a monopod holding the axe to the car. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/12237741634Here's my .30 cal. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. The main body is a TLC chainsaw body with one of the handles cut off. This is the second place I used BA. There's a monopod in the stand that's holding the .30 cal to the car. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/12237741645Lastly, the other side of the .30 cal. This is the third and final place that there's BA on this MOC. There's a monopod acting as the handle. http://mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=76508&id=/user_images/15952/12237741656Well, thanks for looking! I hope to see y'all again soon!

Very nice, very nice. I was hoping you'd make one of these. My only suggestion is that you stick to one color of gray, it looks kinda bad with the 'old' gray mixed with the 'new' gray.

Wow I got flabbergasted after I saw the first picture. That is realy cool, although the minifig on the hood on the first picture could better hold his m1 garand the other way around. Besides that this looks realy neat. Nice job, Henk

Nice jeep! Once again you've made something good. Hope to see more.

Anyway, I'm glad you think it's historically accurate, as far as I know, it's the most historically accurate Lego Jeep out there! (From what I've seen.) :-)

THAT IS AWESOME!!!! I really lik the turret, netting, overall build, and especially the windshield wipers! Do you think that you could make instructions for it like sdfvk? (is that how you spell it?)

Lt.Col. John Shepard wrote:Do you think that you could make instructions for it like sdfvk? (is that how you spell it?) Close, it's Sdkfz. As far as instructions go, I hope to make some someday, but this is such a complicated model, it would be hard to make instructions, as they would be like two hundred steps long. So, I encourage you to look at my model, and then fill in the blanks yourself. Who knows, you might even have a whole new jeep design that everyone loves too! (Just give me credit for inspiring you. ;-D)

Very cool, you have captured the "Jeep look" excellently! The Ranger of Awesomeness wrote:obxcrew wrote:No, it's "sfzdk."
obxcrew Alright, thanks for clearing that up. Just to clear it up completely: sfzdk is my slightly gibberish username (which I can understand people occasionally misspell), SdKfz is short for the German "Sonderkraftfahrzeug" (basicly means "special vehicle"), the different types of German military vehicles of WWII all had a SdKfz number (SdKfz 181 Tiger, SdKfz 251 Half-Track etc.).
