Brought back memories of Samantha =(------, and after listening to it made me think of lady. :'( Ya, when I'm feeling down about something I listen to Three Little Birds - Bob Marley, then More Than A Feeling - Boston, and the finally Gonna Fly Now - Bill Conti (from the Rocky soundtrack) [MOD - Though this is highly moving, please try to keep the thread on topic. - obxcrew]Edit: Sorry obxcrew. One thing kind of led to another..

After seeing the movie, I think that Dr. Neville would be a cool addition to the BA lineup.
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

I would like to see a Dr. Neville minifig sold off the Brickarms website. While I haven't seen the movie, I read the synopsis and it looks pretty cool. I think it would be cool if he would have a Brickarms M4 and a grenade. Also, if Will decided to, it would be neat to have his German shepherd too. Cheers!

I personally liked this movie, and I think he would make a great fig, but I think the most practical way of making someone along these lines is the standard monster hunter, which has been mentioned a few times. I don't think having a fig this specific to such a recent movie is practical.

In the movie his M4 looks like this. So you could probably modify it to have a scope and a flashlight.

I was thinking about this (Generic Monster Hunter) after I got out of the shower, and I whipped up a minifig that would be VERY easily mass produced, the "recipe" is as follows: Hair: Basic Brown hairHead: Minifig Head with Lefty Mouth, Stubble, Moustache, Beard, and SideburnsBody: Rebel Body with Yellow hands Legs: Hips and Legs in Light Bluish GreyAccessories: Indy Messenger BagBA Weapons: Black M23 SOCOM pistol w/ JUST the scope cut off, Black M4 Carbine, Silver RPG (in case of the BIG monsters ;).) What do you guys think about this as a generic monster hunter? IRL I think it looks great, and once again, alot of these parts are easily available to Will, so the fig would probably be more affordable.

The problem is, he never had a silencer on his MK23, only a LAM. And his M4 had a Monopod on it, and in my opinion, he should have dark bluish gray legs.
I love M21's.
I'm not joking. I love them.

You realize, of course, Tarren was suggesting a generic 'Monster Hunter' rather than a specific adaption of a film character, yes? Quote:I think it looks great, and once again, alot of these parts are easily available to Will, so the fig would probably be more affordable. The 'Rebel Body' wouldn't work unless it were a decal. To gauge ease of aquisition, look at Bricklink. Less than 30 of them available altogether, and most of them are over a dollar per torso. That's far too expensive to aquire in large amounts. Fact is, -most- LEGO Star Wars torsos would be difficult or impossible to incorporate into a BA product without decals, simply because of the parts being in such high demand and therefore fetching higher than normal prices. In any event, I don't feel a generic 'monster hunter' is something that will work at this time. With the items BA produces and the parts available elsewhere, the best you'd end up getting would be 'guy with weapons.' Nothing would really scream 'monster hunter' unless it were based on an actual monster hunter in popular media (so that customers could actually identify what the combination of parts is supposed to represent). There are dozens of TLG torsos that could function as monster hunters. Just depends on your particular vision of what a monster hunter might look like. Thus, and since I don't feel 'I Am Legend' warrants minifig treatment, the concept of the Monster Hunter minifig should for now remain solely within 'make it yourself, arm it with your favourite BrickArms' territory. Well, what if Described figure were to include some sort of "analyzing device" for "monster blood" or to create a "serum for cliche highly infectious disease"? For my "monster hunter" I just stuck a blacktron control panel on a 1x2x1 with handle, it looks like some sort of computer, serum mixer, or of course, a portable coffee machine ;).

Hey I know just the item there. Obxcrew has shown it in some of its pictures from brickfair, it's the Voigt-Kampf device from bladerunner. But this item is just a PROTOTYPE, so it's not sure if Will is going to mass produce it. (just in case, before I get a mod after my tail saying: "that's just a prototype you can't suggest that!") WOW! I completely missed that! I think that would work great, but seeiong as how the mod's aren't speaking much about it, I don't think it's going into the BA store anytime soon.

the enigma that is badger wrote: However, I do think the idea of a scraggly "monster hunter" is still a neat idea for a figure. Some decals of more worn clothing, perhaps the nontactical shotgun and S&W 500 as weapons, and nicely gristled facial expression could make for a neat BA MOC fig.
*Disclaimer that none of the above is currently being worked on by Will*
