The gunners would carry 2 or 3 extra barrels with them in their bags, it was common for gunners to have extra barrels on them.

Whenever the Germans found the Canadian Corps coming into the line they prepared for the worst.

What's Omaha beach?

It's one of the beaches where the Allied invasion of Normandy took place during WWII.

Assuming that it is released, I'm guessing it would probably come with a Monopod and Bipod, much like the Combat LMG. Purely assumption, though.

WOOT! Excellent MG42! Now the Germans can get their favorite gun, the MG42! Nice prototype, Will.

As requested: shots of the MG42 prototype with monopods and bipods!

The monopod fits perfectly below the ammo slot and the bipod attaches to the rounded-detailing on the muzzle. However, as can be seen in the pics, this is a tricky item as the barrel is square (as is that of the real-life MG42). The monopod and bipod can attach, but the fit isn't the secure "snap" you'd get with a rounded piece. Still, the bipod does attach securely enough that it won't fall off and stays on through light play.

As an exceptionally generous thanks for helping out with BrickCon, Will sent me a light-box for my minifig photography. It's spectacular in terms of the difference there is in my photos - crisp, clear, no shadows, detail leaps off the screen. Finally, the images I take can start to approach the quality of the items I'm photographing! ;)

Wow, that sure was generous of Will! I wouldn't stare at it for too long, though! ;-D

I really hope that the MG42 is available soon, I sure could use them for like a thousand different things! :-D

Please do not repost questions over and over until they get answered. Once is sufficient. Since the MG42 is not currently in production, it's too soon to discuss colour availability. But in all likelihood, it will be produced in black like every other BrickArms firearm.

This gun looks great. Definitely a favorite of WWII. I have been playing the Call of Duty: World at War Beta and this gun is great.
