That was my first thought as well. Changed my mind after a bit more research. The actual Colt Navy is a weapon of considerable length. For instance, the real life Auto-9 film prop is 2 inches SHORTER than a real life Colt Navy. So far, this is the biggest real-world pistol Will has designed, so the scale is quite correct. In hand I've got to say, it's a beast! But it looks right, nonetheless. Especially when you can compare it to minifigs holding other pistol weapons. Thank you, sir. That was also the first thought that hit me, and looky there you did my research for me! :D In which case, great work Will!

I like it!!! I just have one comment...... it looks a little big in the minifigs hand. Is that just the angle of the picture?

If you make this, I'll be very happy. It'd totally make the WIP Roland Deschain figure I have SO much better...

To be precise, the BrickArms Colt Navy pistol is almost exactly the same length as the BrickArms Auto-9, but not nearly as massive. Like we've said a few times, it's a darn big revolver in real-life, so it's a bigger pistol as a minifig accessory!

I hope this isn't too off topic, but was the Colt Navy pistol a cartrage or black powder with ball type of revolver?
Our's is not to reason why, our's is but to do or die.
