Seeing how the new World-War minifigs now come with a clip of ammunition, I'm wondering if they could be sold in large quantites like the M67 Grenade crates. Basically, they'd be like tablescraps for appropriately-theme dioramas/vignettes. What does everyone think?

It will most likely depend on the actual size of the clips. I'd say in the order of 20~30.

Firstly, I read the title of this thread in an Irish accent. I shall now be talking in an Irish accent all day, thank you... Secondly, I agree with this idea. The strips would be silver/grey seeing as thats the only colour we have seen them in thus far. But I think 20 may be too much myself.
The Lee Enfield was the only bolt action rifle NOT to be replaced by a semi automatic rifle as its rate of fire was deemed high enough. Truely, us British do things the hard way.

OH MAN! Not fair! I was going to suggest this. But I thought: "Hmm, this hasn't been released yet so I can't suggest an Ammo-box. Hey I'm going to send Will an Pm and see what he has to say about it." So I waited and waited and waited but Will hasn't replied yet (I don't think that is going to happen but you never know). Ah well now you can strike with the honour of suggesting this item. I fully support you. I think this would look awesome on some vigs or moc's. And also this Ammo-box isn't that hard to make. Its just the same as both grenade crates. Go Ammo-box! Henk

Well, considering the size they are in the Tommy picture, they look pretty darn small, so it might take a bit to fill up a chest or a crateHowever, I'm quite keen on this idea. Like GL said, it would be fun to "scatter" them around a vig. What about an armory vig as well?

Yes, an armory vig featuring the Crate 'o clips sounds good! It'd be interesting to see what sorts of potential uses this suggestion could be applied to. Just so you guys know, I was inspired to suggest this by a scene from Enemy at the Gates where the beleaguered Russians were handing out a few clips each to green infantrymen just as they face off the Germans. That sort of desperation and urgency...man... Anyhoo, considering their small size, I would agree with BrickFan93 that a significant amount of these may be required to fill a TLC crate.

I for one, second this. I would love to see a clip-box. I can finally add an ammo mechanic for my Brikwars games!

I could really use clips for my brickfilms and vignettes.

This gives me an idea! IF an ammo crate were to come out, how about a random weapon (Excluding the Monopods, Bipods, grenades, and RPG) be included with the create! Also, maybe an Ammo clip like the one inclided with the Briefcase UZI also be in the batch? I would definately need some of the ammo clips. Although that does sound like a neat idea, I would prefer solely ammo clips in the crate. That way the "Crate o' Clips" would simply be just a, well, crate o' clips.
It's all rigged!

What about the clips coming in one of these?

While I'm not too fond of having a bonus weapon included with the crate explicitly, I'd be quite interested to see variations on the original idea, with the suggested Uzi magazines as a possible starting point. Having the smaller crate may be good too, to add interest and variety. However, it may be difficult for Will to deal with different crate sizes, but I guess it might work out fine.

I think the small box is a good idea because that way there will not be an overload of clips bringing the price up.
