Here is my entry for the Alpha Company sniper contest. It depicts the men from Sniper Team One, SSgt. George Macmillan and Cpl. Patrick O'Brian, making their way towards their area of operation during the Chechen uprising. With the sudden appearance of a sentry, these men will have to be extremely careful whilst sneaking past. The shooter is armed with an M40A3 sniper rifle(a modified Garand), and the spotter is equipped with a G36 assault rifle. Credit for the ghillie suit design goes to Nick D, and obxcrew. Comments and critiques are more than welcome. You can see more shots and sizes here. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! Henk De Vries wrote:I agree with Master Animater i realy can't see him, can someone mark the sniper here please... Hehe. If you look at the other pictures in my link, they will show you more views of the snipers. legofish wrote:Great job! If you look at obxcrew's profile on flickr, he's got some pretty good shots of a ghillie suit. Mine is very similar to his. Master Animator wrote:I can't see anyone.... Though I can't comment on this vignette as I'm judging the Alpha Company Sniper Vignette Contest, here's a link to the flickr set containing pictures of my take on Nick's ghillie suit. Hope this helps. obxcrew

That is a great vignette, Ghost. the sniper is quite effectively hidden, and the use of the jungle elements is great. 2 thumbs up. One critique, though. Personally I don't really like the face of the guy in the tree, the guard or whatever you want to call him.
I love M21s. What, was that supposed to be funny, or what? I don't do funny. Ever. So go ahead, have your funny signatures, whilst I, for one, will keep it simple.

That's great! If the sniper and spotter weren't yellow you wouldn't be able to see them at all. Normally i like brick-built plants but these look great. :)

Thanks for the comments, guys. 14gallagherk wrote:the sniper is quite effectively hidden Thanks. There are actually two snipers in the vig, a shooter and a spotter. 14gallagherk wrote:Personally I don't really like the face of the guy in the tree, the guard or whatever you want to call him. He's a Chechen fighter. I picked that head because I liked the disgruntled/groggy expression.

I like this! First reason: The snipers are very well hidden it took me 5 minutes to spot them. Second: Nice use of the plants. Third: The outpost looks cool.

Thank you. The design of the ghillie suit is actually obxcrew and NickD's(kcaster). You can see pictures of obxcrew's ghillie(which I based mine off of) on his flickr. He posted a link earlier in this thread.
