Based on the Remington 700 bolt action rifle, the M40 and M24 fire the 7.62 NATO round(the M24, with a more modular design can also fire the more powerful .300 and .338 WinMag rounds). Dishing out precision fire to 1000 yards, this rifle is the grim reaper of the modern battlefield.

I made this by modifying a brown Brickarms M1 Garand, and used the scope from a M47 Tactical shotgun. I painted it with some dark green, and I drybrushed some light green as well, to simulate camouflage. I wanted to make it look like the sniper painted it in the field.

Very good paintjob. Some critiques, though: The bipod should be green as well, or at least the end that is composite with the gun. Also, if it's an M24, you should modify the barrel a little. There's 2 tubes coming out in the M1-only 1 (the barrel) in the M24.
EDIT-Oops, I checked out the extra pictures. I see now that you did cut off one of the tubes.

Great job! I really like this! I do think that the bi-pod should be green to match the gun. Either way, great gun!

Thanks for the kind words and critiques, everyone. Yeah, I think I'll paint the bipod. It stands out a bit too much, right now.

Yeah, it was a Garand, and thanks.

Reminds me of a Springfield 1903 if you swap scopes with the PSG1.

I love M21's.

I'm not joking. I love them.

Heh, what do you know. It kind of does look like a Springfield.
