I prefer the no lipped version, it can be adapted to a spear-thing!

The lipped version gives it alot more character. I also think it doesn't looks so plain in a minifigs hand than the No-lipped version, I have a lipped version, it looks really, really good.

No lip would make it able to be attached to a flick fire missle to turn it into a halberd or attached to the front of a truck just for fun *vroom, slice, screams*

I do not think that the lip versoin is the best choice, while you can just cut off the lip, that still my not make a snug fit in the classic tlc lightsaber hilt (unlike the no lipped version) : http://i17.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/eb/d3/9cea_1.JPGSo i vote with the no-lipped version. -Air

Well, since I have both versions of the machete in my possession, I like both very much. The lipped version looks cooler, but the non-lipped one is more playable, and posable. I wish that both would be made, but I suppose the lipped version might be better afterall. But I like both versions dearly.

I also perfer no lipped. It kinda of looks funny with a "lip."

I think it should be like the ppk. One version with and one without.

LordMalice wrote:I think it should be like the ppk. One version with and one without. This design difference is somewhat more fundamental. The cavity for the PPK has the suppressor as part of the design. Will then simply clips off the suppressor for the other version of the PPK. However, given the lip is embedded in the handle of the machete and therefore not so simply snipped off, to produce both would require two separate cavities in a mold. That's certainly a route Will could take. However, that would mean one less completely new item in a mold. badger

Lip is more realistic!
Some of you might be wondering why I have't been posting pics. The reason why is because I lost my camra, which is a big bummer.

I like both so I say lipped. I could order two and cut the lip off one. The lip looks realistic, but does not allow for angles or instertion of tlc pieces. My Flickr My Brickshelf

Not lipped. The lip has no point to it and could be used for more Machetes.
EDIT:
My brother says not-lipped as well, if that counts at all.

I like the lip. Is it just me, or does the non-lip have a slightly bigger handguard than the lip? A Company, 6th Platoon, 3rd Squad My Forum-Please join! LEGO-Imitated, never equalled.
