Now that my life has finally settled down after the joyous pandemonium that was BrickWorld, I wanted to share a few of my thoughts about the experience there. The Displays: many, many beautiful works where on display. The brick-built skyscrapers still take my breath away each time I see them, and there were several great larger scale displays on hand that were fantastic in both scale and detail. The Indiana Jones groupbuild in particular was great, especially since as the event went on, more and more BrickArms products were incorporated into it! The Fans: I attended Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and everyday was packed with meeting fans and first-time buyers of BrickArms. Talking with everyone about what they like about BrickArms, their favorite custom accessories, and what they'd love to see in the future was a joy. A special treat was meeting BrickArms Forums members. I'm glad I can now put a few faces to screennames! The Survey: With so many fans of building in one place, Will and I took the opportunity to get a tremendous amount of fan input on ideas for future items that have been kick around for awhile. To do so, I designed a survey that asked some basic information as well as rankings for 44 individual ideas of new accessories. I only finished tabulating the results two days ago, but the results have given Will a much better idea about what builders new and old would like to see most. The Prototypes: With the word FREEBAP being whispered across the BrickArms booth at a steady pace over the event, I had the chance to share many great new BrickArms prototypes with members of this board, mostly the new edged items. Everyone seemed truly excited to see Will branching into new types of accessories, and the high quality of these new items shows that Will can design a heck of a lot more than just modern weaponry! To close, a few nice pictures: Will Chapman, Nannan, and myself (picture from Nannan) The whole BrickArms crew working the booth (picture from Nannan) Joe Meno filling out a survey while I fish out a special "thanks" (Subscribe to Brick Journal folks! It's a great read!) My explaining the BrickArms Survey to a few younger fans Some younger builders admiring my display. Honestly, I had a tremendous time and can't wait until next year! Thanks to all the BrickArms fans for making it such a memorable experience! badger

Wow, that's very good that you had a great time. If I would have come, I sure would have. And your display looks very interesting! You must have, what, hundreds of figs there. I see that you're a castle fan. Anyways, thanks for filling us in on your visit to BrickWorld.

Glad you had a good time too, badger! I loved that you re-built your badge so that you could put The Shadow on it. That survey had quite a few amazing weapons on it! (As well as some surprising non-weapon things... but I don't want to ruin anything, now do I? [Not that I mean I know if anything I'm talking about will be produced.])

Nice display! I'm glad you had a great time at Brickworld! It seems you had your share of fun at the BA Booth! But I wish I got to go, I really wanted some of those minifigs :(

Do you plan on showing us the survey results, or do we have to wait until they're spoken of by one of Will's crack team of moderaters?

You must have had fun :) Your display is really cool . . . I think I see a couple of the new knights. The Auto-9 display is huge! Now I realize that my BA Auto-9 is supposed to be oversized :)

Since the survey results will have a direct impact on which items BrickArms produces in the future, the general public will not be given the results (that would spoil the surprise, and Will is very fond of surprising everyone). If you know what items were -on- the survey, then you'll have an interesting starting point for guesses, but I'll tell you now that some items you might think would poll well -didn't. And some that you'd think wouldn't -did. 2008 and 2009 will likely be full of surprises. The Jester Laughs Because The World Is Full Of Fools

Yeah, he certainly is . . . never thought I'd see a dadao produced by BrickArms.

LOL! My bad! I meant to say "Who" instead of "Why". You do look like him though...
By the way, I never actually thought you looked like David Lynch. I just always imagined you to look like your avatar (A very common thing to do!)...

You're alot different online than you are in person Badger. In a good way, of course :)

How does anyone (Except Will of course!) ever afford to go to these things?

It's not horribly expensive. For instance, Brickworld, on the public days, was $12 to get in.
