I was wondering, what kind of LEGO rubber bands are used on most of the BrickArms minifigs? Are they three studs long? And how do you apply the rubber bands to the minifigs in a way that it won't affect any aspect of the minifig's articulation points?

Sorry, I'v only recently discovered the use of rubber bands on minifigs due to Brickarms.
