This is the one I had the most fun creating for BrickWorld '08.

The Chief has a very special needler-like weapon, created in a 4-step overmolding process. It is not painted. Each colored part is injected in a different mold, and then inserted into another mold to be molded together. The weapon sports a trans dark-pink post in the nose, enclosed in a sand-blue head, and includes dark-pink needles all overmolded into a dark purple body.

Other weapons include a custom modded SMG made from a silver MP7 - a modification that proved very popular at the show, with even the attending Lego employees trying their hand at modding it for themselves at the show.

Everyone wanted them, and I came home with very few leftover. Due to the complexity (and cost) of molding each individual needler weapon, the needler was not sold separately.

Wow, this is even cooler. That needler is amazing. The Armor is also spectacular, what a decal. I've never seen armor being decalled before. Nice work, Will!

This is awesome, I love the decal and could you get a shot of the custom SMG?

I don't have a shot, yet, but here's the Brickworld display tag for The Chief. You can see the SMG design in the weapons illustration.

Does that diagram show blue grenades? And that needler deserves to be at the top.

I love the needler weapon! Who did this? Is the needler weapon going to be on the shop so I can buy it?

Yes, they are dark-blue M67s. I wanted to cut the handles off, to make them more like a plasma grenade, but opted out at the last minute.

The Commando is one of the new regular-release custom minifigs. The Chief and BrickWorld '08 Spy Bond were limited edition items created specifically for BrickWorld.

Excellent! I am not a big fan of Halo, but these are very cool figs.

Was he sold in packs of two?

I must say I am impressed. I've only seen some rather small photos of this minifig and they didn't do it any justice. The needler is absolutely awesome (and a half)! Also, after seeing the modified MP7's silouhette, I've been convinced to try it out. Thanks again for sharing Will! It's brilliant!

No, he was not sold in packs of two, but he was worth the extra $10!

Ah you see, and this is a thing of beauty. I can understand why they won't be in mass production, but it's still a crying shame for those of us who were unable to attend Brick World. Any way to convince you guys to make another limited batch for BW '09? ;)

I'm not even a fan of Halo and I'd eat these things up. Superb work.

That's so cool! I love the silver weapons and the Plasma Grenades/Needlers.

Now this is going to sound really stupid, and please just tell me if I'm out of line here, but I really, really need to get my hands on a Needler and at least one plasma grenade. I have a really good friend that is completely obsessed with Halo and Lego, but neither of us have the money to travel all the way to one of these conventions (We live in Wyoming!). I really would love to get one for him if it's at all possible.
I just want to know if there's any way to get ahold of those things (other than secondary market) for a fairly decent price. Thanks, again, please tell me if I'm out of line in any way.

Hey, looking for a cool place to make lots of friends and have loads of fun?

Darn! I really wanted another version of the Chief in LEGO form, especially in BrickArms form. Dang! Unfortunately it won't be for sale anymore. *Sobs and cries. . . Then takes a Rocket Launcher from Halo 3 and blows himself up, commiting suicide and waiting 10 seconds to respawn*
