I have one! But unfortunatlly the blade is flexable, and I by acident, bent it a little too far so I have to put the blade under all of my old books to make it strait again. -Aaron

This is pretty wild. I really like it. The mold color is awesome, I love it.

Amazing! This is truly awesome! I can't wait to get one of these! Not sure if I'll actually use it much, but I would get it for looks alone!

Wow! I can't believe I missed out on BrickWorld. I was within a few miles of the convention center at two different times. I wish I could have seen this and all the other prototypes.

As it's been mentioned elsewhere, I thought I'd provide a quick visual reference for a comparison between the BA Cleaver with the TLC Scimitar: So, which one do you think is better proportioned to the minifig? ;) badger

Hmm, I think it may be the left. ( Guy from gameshow named The Enigma That is Badger ) is that your final answer. Umm, yes it is. Good because, your prize is getting nothing.

Same difference, right? ;) As I've been a strong advocate of a cleaver-type weapon every since Will proved he could design and mold an excellent edge with the BA scalpel, I'm exceptionally happy at how beautifully this item has turned out. It's distinctive, looks great with a large number of different MOCs, and takes BrickArms in exciting new directions. Folks really have BA pegged as "those gun guys," and I think the high quality of this and other non-firing weapon accessory will show Will can do a whole lot more than just firearms. badger

Man, that Cleaver is exactly the right size. Will, (and Badger), you're geniuses. I am hopefully waiting until this comes out, for it would be awesome in, maybe even Medieval vigs. That would be new.

That's how things go sometimes. Certain designs end up getting a LOT of feedback from us, resulting in numerous minor and major changes, where other items Will really knocks out of the park RIGHT away and we can barely say more than 'uh.. yeah.. awesome - make that.' Some of the cleaver prototypes were injected with a more flexible plastic obtained by melting down Bionicle parts. However, some were also made using standard ABS plastic. The flexible ones are an interesting experiment, but the production piece will be injected with ABS to maintain the durability associated with BrickArms products. badger

While this is a huge improvement on the TLC scimitar, I can't say I'm hugely excited about this. I'll probably change my mind once I get one, though.

It's excellent, but I suggest shortening the handle, since the blade is already shorter than the TLC scimitar. Right now, the handle is big enough to accommodate two hands, which would be appropriate for LEGO videogame models. On a real minifig, you could get away with a very short handle that's just big enough for the minifig's hand. A smaller handle will give the sword more dexterity and playability, and it will look even more authentic, because it will be in scale with the smaller blade.
By the way, why is this being called a cleaver as opposed to a scimitar? I've been looking all over wikipedia and dictionary.com, and the term "cleaver" still seems to apply primarily to the butcher's knife.
