The color of a paratrooper should be tan. Though the M1 helmet has some camo/moss thingy on it.You can also use the head from the TLC Rebel Scout Speeders head for the chin strap look.

[Gulp!] How did I miss that? ;) I think it is wonderful! So simple, and yet evokes a great "GI-with-harness" kind of vibe. Nice choice! That is a great observation! I thought the same thing as I pawed through my bin of minifig heads last night. It would be nice if that head also came in yellow.

Are we also looking at German Fallschirmjager? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallschirmj%C3%A4gerThe first practical paratroopers in the world used basic weapons such as the MG42, and MP40. Reactors with Authentic Uniforms: http://www.angelfire.com/wa/fallschirmjaegers/images/4fj2mg2.jpgThese troops used Alpine Fall Camouflage. Lego Modification Examples: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/16706Note Fallschirmjager Troops used modified Stahlhelms, with the rim cut away to create essentially a bowl-shape. http://www.atthefront.com/g_head_FJHQ_main.jpg

I think a WWII era paratrooper would be cool. He would supplement the ground GIs very nicely . . . we need more of those guys, the Germans are outnumbering them! ;)

I clealy see we are talking about an ... rather "early" paratrooper, but I was thinking about a future(...) or up-to-date paratrooper since no ref. pic was provided. It wold have this head with an MP7 PDW and this body, with this backpack only in black. Just my thoughts. EDIT: And it would have this helmet if Will makes it.
LM Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.........are you serious?

MOD - I'd like to remind everyone that this thread is to be used for discussing a possible BrickArms US paratrooper from the Second World War. Please start new threads (assuming there already are none) for any other varieties of paratroopers.
Thanks.

No I think the size of that thing doesn't fit with the minifig: it allmost reaches the floor. Imagine how that will look in an airplane, you can barely fit 5 figs in there then. By the way I realy like the idea of a US paratrooper. Henk

I think the idea of a para trooper would be great, but making a parachute, would be challeging. I wonder if MMCB could come up with something? I would give him an M1 garand, or maybe a thompson.
What fun are parachutes when you can feel the crash from hitting the ground? There is none; you'd be dead " Nothing is prefect.... Except me and Chuck norris...."
