Would I be able to add a small object, made out of lego, next to the minifig. For instance, a console of some sort?
[MOD - Some small is ok (just a few bricks), but the fig itself will be judged. - badger]

Can we have a background/environment? Something small, like a 16x16 baseplate?
[MOD - No, this contest is meant to showcase figs, not larger builds. - badger]

After we send out entries in can we post it in the minifig section?
[MOD - If you want to. All entries will be posted at the close of the contest though - badger.] P.S. I just entered mine.

How do I PM Badger with my entry?
Click the blue 'PM' button at the bottom of any one of Badger's posts (like the first post in this thread, for example). In your PM, include a link to wherever you have hosted your pictures, such as Flickr, BrickShelf, Maj, etc.

No calling of dibbs.
Likewise, we know you're all excited but try not to post just to say you are entering, have entered, or anything like that. We'd like to keep this thread clear for questions so they can be addressed promptly. Thanks guys.

Just a question, would some different outfit for the fig be okay for my fig ( I know that it has been asked and answered) since he may be parachuting in or be in a disguise? Or should I just stick with one outfit? [MOD - Ditto - badger] A soldier should not be commemorated for doing what is expected-Master ChiefBungie.net Account Profile

I was looking at ALL of the questions people have asked, but nobody ever asked if it could include some small vehicle all suped up i.e. a small glider with machine guns or a spy jet or a small car of sorts. please, badger, answer my question if it can include any of the vehicles listed above.
peace, sparky(I dropped privetaztec, but couldn't change my name, so id like to start going by sparky)
[MOD - No vehicles or vigs. Just a fig. - badger]
Man who runs behind car, gets exhausted. Man who runs in front of bus, gets busted. Manwho lies on road, get tired. Man who buys brickarms, simply blows up the vehicles with an RPG. Simple, yet so effective.

Darn. I messed up on my entry's picture links! Badger, Is it cool if I send a new one? Send a new link with the PM title "Spy Contest: Correction" so Badger knows to ignore your original PM.EDIT: Thanks!

If we decieded to change something like a weapon or any other small change and we already sent in our entry can we do that?Because I would like to change the torso on mine and I already sent mine in.
Nope. This is why the Contests lasts for nearly an entire MONTH, everyone. There is no reason to rush your entries in. To keep confusion and hassles down for Badger, who is managing the contest pretty much on his own, you cannot 'trade out' your entries whenever you like. Once you've submitted an entry, that's your entry and any attempt to circumvent that will result in disqualification. -----D

If a fig was painted by somone else do we have to give credit? (I did not know we did for posts, just decals) Contest Rule #2: " The figure must be a completely new and original, never-before-displayed custom that is entirely your own work." Obvious exception is decals that you have aquired, but applied yourself. If someone else is painting your minifig, then it is not entirely your own work. ----D My Flickr My Brickshelf

Ok, I need to address a few issues
- Your fig is not a community work. "Testing" out an entry in the community before submitting it is not appropriate and will result in disqualification of the entry. Keep in mind only one set of opinions matter when it comes to judging a fig: those of the judges (hence the title). AFTER you submit your entry, then you can share if you so choose to.
- No more questions about what is and isn't appropriate for entries. The rules in combination with the answers I've provided in this thread provide all the answers you'll need to submit a valid entry. All other posts made in this thread that ask a question that has already been answered will be deleted.

:O Yay! I minifigure contest! I've actually fineshed my fig, but I will wait and see what happens... Oh, and I hate to sound like a complete noob at James Bond, but who's Scaramanga? Sorry if this comes off as a stupid question, but would the info about the fig affect how it would be judged? (eg by cleverness) [MOD - Yes, the creativity of the dossier as well as how well it matches the fig will be taken into account in the judging - badger]

MOD FURY: How many posts of yours do I have to delete before you get the message? It has already been stated that this thread is -not- for anyone to post about whether or not they're going to include themselves in the contest, what minifig they're making, or how close they are to being finished.
Furthermore, double-posting is very clearly against forum policy. Please review the forum rules, as well as reading Moderator notes in this topic, before posting. -- D

Just one question here. If the pictures are larger than 600 x 600 pixels can we PM you links? [MOD - You should be PMing me the links anyway. If the pictures are larger, resize them to the appropriate size. - badger]

Sweet contest! Anyway, badger, can we use custom decals that we made ourselves?
[MOD - Certainly! You'd also welcome to use decals you've purchased elsewhere. - badger]
Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?

Will you be judging on the accuracy of the spy, like how a spy would really look?
[MOD - Spy figs based on realistic and more fantastic themes both perfectly acceptable. - badger]
EDIT: Fantastic? No offence but what do you mean by that?
Vot WWII weapons for 2009! And together we can mow down Jerry or maybe even some pesky Allies to a brighter more violent future!
