It seems to me that the Dragunov is a sort of "Holy Grail" on the forums. Many love it and want Will to design it. Well, while you wait to see if Will ends up designing it, you can check this out. I made one!! Here it is!! I also made a Terrorist with it. For anyone who wants my concept of the Dragunov, click here (The concept is much smoother but that's how it always is:D) Enjoy!

Great work! My only critique is it's awfully small. Or so it looks. I do like it alot, but more bulkiness or size could improve it, perhaps. Great idea, though!

Excellent work, it captures the feel of the gun very well. I ought to try this mod, what gun's did you cut apart?

Actually in reality it is larger than the AK. meltheplatypus wrote:Excellent work, it captures the feel of the gun very well. I ought to try this mod, what gun's did you cut apart? I used a scope from the tactical M47 shotty, used the body of the AK, the clip is the orginal AK clip but cut down(you can use an M4 clip if you'd like to do more cut and paste), wire stock from the G36(traded the AK stock for the wire one; my G36 now has solid stock:D), and the end of the barrel is the barrel of the MP40(I cut it off modding another gun. see here.) If you have an extra AK to destroy for this mod(cut off and use it's barrel) go ahead. Just to let you know, this mod took about a half hour or more.

Well done brickjedi. At first it looked small, but when it is held it looks much bigger(Just like most Brickarms in my opinion.)

pretty good mod the only thing that bugs me is that the hand guard should be longer and the wirestock should be attached to the handle edit: heres the pic of a Dragunov as you can see the wire stock is attached to the pistol grip (where you hold your weapon) and the handguard (where you hold and support your gun to keep steady) is longer

Mmm, the force is definitely strong with you, brickjedi(sorry if you've heard that before). I really like this mod. Excellent work. Which scope did you use? The PSG1 scope or the Tactical Shotgun scope?

YES!! A Dragunov! Woot! Pretty close! I like how it is modeled after the folding stock Dragunov. Impressive. However, a brief critique: 1) Perhaps the scope from the PSG1 would be a little more realistic. 2) And perhaps you could extend the part pointed to in the below picture, so it more closely resembles the real thing. Seriously, though, brickjedi, really a well-done mod. Very smooth and clean, considering that the Dragunov is a very difficult weapon to mod. 7/5, and the title of "Brickfan's Favorite Weapon Mod Ever." Congratulations :)

That is really good. You captured the design of this weapon very well.
Vot WWII weapons for 2009! And together we can mow down Jerry or maybe even some pesky Allies to a brighter more violent future!

Shotgun scope. And no I haven't heard your force comment. lol Many of you suggested other ideas, so I updated my design. Here is the Dragunov v3I also changed the v3 version a little. Dragunov v3.1Note: The ideas to lengthen the stock and use the PSG1 scope came from Brickfan93. Special thanks you Brickfan93!!

MOD - A reminder that "digital mods" aren't appropriate for the MOC forums. Any design you post should be backed-up by a real-life modded item.
