I think Will said somewhere that there will be new contests with the release of Mold 3. Will the contests come once the minifigs are out?

Keep in mind that the first few weeks after the release of new BrickArms accessories are a very busy time for Will but yes, there are plans for more contests in the near future. Exactly when they're start is still in development, but keep watching the Contest Forums!
And no, it won't be a hair salon ;)
