Moded Brick arms weapons ? Options

I was just wondering if useing moded brick arms in a vig or moc counts as useing a unmoded one.
Because I want to make some halo creations and I want to use some moded halo guns I made.

Using only modified BrickArms in a MOC is perfectly okay.
