Well it only took me all of what? Ten minutes? To make mine so I'm not upset. Besides it kept my annoying sister out of my hair!

EDIT: Well real contest or not, this was really fun. And funny!

Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?

As penance, I will tell you all that we do have a contest planned to start in one month's time, and I think you'll all be much happier with the prizes than a hairdryer or two!

Hooray! I'm giddy just imaginening what it will be! May I ask if its mold #3 or a later mold?

Keep in mind that nearly every news outlet, including major networks and most building toy websites, slip in at least one "April Fools" gag this day. Even NPR, usually the most button-on bunch on the planet, gets in on the act.

I completely understand, but I stand by my main point that this would have been much more appropriate if it was simply placed within the "Tales from the Garage" section.

Wait... So there isn't a contest? No hairdryer? There is no April 31st anyway. Darn.. I built it and everything.. We had a lot of the same ideas hobo! I have four lights, the same drawers, black cape, and the stool and chair. Does yours swivel? Because mine does. This was fun even if it was just a hoax.

Thats neat. Well, mine can turn, it's not studded to the ground. I was actually going to do a much more detailed chair, but it turned out being too high.

You're good Kid, real good, but as long as I'm around you'll always be second best, shee?

Sort of!

Oh. My swivel is in (or part of I guess) the floor. So that the chair wouldn't be so tall... I originally put armrests on my chair, but it looked weird and disproportional so I took it off.

I thought the joke was obvious.

It might have been, but it obviously wasn't. I don't think the rendering helped.

The design took me a little under 5 minutes to whip up so I'm sorry if it looked too real. Really, I thought you guys would know I would never make anythying like a blowdryer available for sale..unless it was chambered for .45 ACP. ;)

Here it is! Thanks forum staff for giving me a push to build something. :)

And here's the Flickr for the larger version.

Will: If you ever prototype a blow dryer, I'll pay five bucks for one!

Pretty nice! To bad this was a hoax, I'm allmost sure we would have placed.

Thanks! I'm positive you would have. Something you can't see in the picture is there's a croisant behind the hairdresser, on the little table thing.
BA Staff, is there any chance of getting judged? Even if the only prize is a banner for our signature or something, I would like to know who would have won!

Sure, everyone who submitted an entry up to this point can add this in their signature should they so choose to:

"Recipient of the official Brickarms No-Prize in the Hair Salon Vig Contest"

And with that, I'll lock this thread since April Fool's draws to a close. Thanks for keeping in the spirit of the day, folks!
