I don't know, they have talked about it here but that wasn't it's own thread, but i am not sure what the mods think. Has it been talked about enough to warrant it's own thread?Or are there too many issues? If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?

I did a search and found nothing about night vision goggles. I tried to find some sort of guide line for making suggestions but was unable to locate a sticky for that.

Unfortunatly, as much as myself and other members like them, Will can't make helmets or NVGs because of the molding process and tooling that he uses.

MOD - While there has been extensive discussion about night vision goggles elsewhere, I think its a popular enough concept that it deserves its own thread as this will help centralize discussion of the suggestion.

I would love to see those. That would make my commandos very happy.

awesome! I am 100% behind these things, they can go in Modern and Futuristic Moc's and can be used in a variety of settings.

They do seem really cool and would be extremely useful, but I don't know how plausible it is. I wonder if they could be made so they fit on helmets like a visor.

The simple NVGs (monocular, or binocular) can be done. The trioculars could be done, but would be very tricky indeed, as they would need to be of a multipart design. Some helmets and NVGs are doable. I can make them, as long as: 1) The helmets do not have an enclosed facial opening 2) Must be moldable with a standard pull (no side-action cams).

Ideas are far more powerful than guns. We don't allow our enemies to have guns, why should we allow them to have ideas?

I think its a good idea, it would work well with special forces.

Thanks badg! The Splinter Cell thread was getting a bit too awkward. One idea could be that it could be made like the TLC visors (i.e. with dimples that would click onto TLC helmets). I think that this idea is quite feasible because the NVG accessory could then be molded from at top-down standard pull mold. I'm more keen on seeing the monocular and binocular versions, for the following reasons: - easier to produce - a third scope is somewhat...redundant...

NVGs would be so awesome! Although I'm not sure which type I'd rather see. The monocular version would work very well for modern infantry troops. And from what I've heard troops actually prefer them over the binocular version because since it only goes over one eye, you only have to readjust your "natural nightvision" for that eye, when you take the NVGs off, as opposed to both. I don't know they would both look cool. I'd be fine with either one.

It could be done as a helmet visor attachment, perhaps modify the goggles piece to be night vision. Definitely a cool accessory, and I do love Splinter Cell, though the game was frustrating to play. THIS is the piece. YouTube | Flickr

I would love to see this be made. (I don't mind any of the versions, or all of them.) It would be good for night operations. Also, the first of these were scopes used by America back in WWII. (Just thought you should know.)

That would be great if Will could make those! I am actually in the process of making one from TLC binoculars an visors. I'm sure Will could make one way better than mine! Great suggestion LethalContact! I should have thought of that myself. I am all for night vision goggles! :D

I am in favor of the triple nightvision. It looks cooler and it can be used for more futuristic nightvision and it can become a double by simply cutting off the top scope.
