To surmise my experience today in one sentence, BrickFair is a blast! I’ve met a load of great people, including Will Chapman, Carter Baldwin, Magnus Lauglo, Rich “Rillo” Trauger, Nathan “Mister oo7” Fiest, and a very talented builder named Robert "robbeyem" Gurney. I love to be able to match names with faces.
The sheer volume of amazing creations has really knocked my proverbial socks off. A collaborative post apocalyptic display by Carter, Zachary, and another fellow is truly stunning to behold, and Magnus’s military creations are beyond description, both in their quantity and their quality. His attention to detail is truly unrivaled. I’ll try to snap some more photos of the various displays before the show wraps.
The BrickArms booth is situated within a rectangular grouping of tables that also house the post apocalyptic display and the various military displays, a variety that is tailor fit to my tastes. :D Interacting with customers has been a fantastic experience so far. We were unbelievably busy today, which surprises me, as only attendees are present at the moment. I can only imagine the chaotic madness that awaits us on the public days. . . . ;)
That’s all from me, for now. Enjoy the photos of the recently revealed prototypes!
EDIT: Oops, I almost forgot that I met John_0515, too. He's a really nice guy, as well.
