Part Two: Hostile Sniper at Eleven O'clock

During the opening days of the Emelanian conflict, "A" Company of the Lego States Army 2nd Infantry Division spearheaded the expeditionary UN coalition force to liberate the capital Chammur.

Shown are Spc. Abdul Hassan (Automatic Rifleman) taking cover behind colleague Sgt. Dylan Able (Marksman) moments before he neutralises an enemy sniper.

Hassan is armed with the M249 SAW (which can be accurately approximated with a BrickArms Mk48 and bipod).

Able takes aim with his M14 DMR, which can be made by cutting the scope and magazine off a BrickArms M47 tactical and attaching them to a BrickArms M1 Garand.

Attention Standard Rifleman squad leaders!

Sgt. Able, Spc. Hassan and a Afro-American Grenadier, Pfc. Jamal Brubaker, are up for adoption. Now, who wants to have the trio in their squad?

Back to the MOC, that drawing is great! I wish I had that kind of skill. Maybe I should try a liger.(10 points to whoever gets this reference)

Part Three: Keepin' a couple of eyeballs on the nor' west

Twenty-five kilometres west of the main UN MNF-E base in Emelan (FOB Rhino) is Outpost Sabre, an observation blockhouse manned mostly by Emelanian militiamen working with the UN coalition forces. Supervising them is SSgt. Tom "The Tomster" Dutra of A-1-2 and his ten-man regular infantry squad. Shown here is the squad leader with a masked militiaman keeping an eye out for potential FRC activity at the northwest battlement.

The militiaman mans a Russian-made PKP Pecheneg Light Machine Gun. Notice how Russian machine guns typically feed from the right and eject from the left, unlike their western counterparts. Emelanians have a penchant for Russian surplus weapons as they are easy to acquire ammunition for, maintain and simple to operate.

SSgt. Dutra has an M4 Carbine slung behind his back. When this sketch was made, he had not yet attached his underslung M203 to his rifle.

The Potato-Masher-like item is actually a Russian anti-armor grenade of unspecified explosive power. These are often popular with militiamen, especially those who frequently engage FRC armored columns.

Great job Greenlead, this little series is great to wait for. In my opinion, you should detail the walls like your part two.

Thanks! I intended for the sketch to show that the outpost had not yet experienced any action, so no bullet holes and debris...yet :)

Patience is very important. I did this during a lecture at the university I attend. My non-LEGO friends kept pestering me to show them my WIP, but I refused because only a finished piece of artwork will get the right message across.

Taking a break from harassing FRC armor occupying Le'angrant, Emelan, A-5-2's Spc. Wesley Johns shares some of his homemade* choc-chip cookies with SSgt. Flynn O' Rourke. Yep, he approves :)

The M4 with M203 and the M32 MGL actually do not belong to either of them - I suspect another squad was with them and had left stuff lying all over the place...again...

*Actually, wethinks his missus made 'em and mailed them all the way to Emelan.

Awesome! You're a very talented artist! The cookie is kind of funny.
