As would I. My Scout is sad with his Brick Built bat.

In terms of colors, the upcoming BrickArm Baseball Bat will be available in brown (technically a reddish-brown color that's a near perfect match to the TLC color). It's the same color as the BA M1 Garand.

Other potential colors for the baseball bat are tan and silver. Plans for those two colors, however, are tentative. Again, the only color that's a definite lock at this time is brown.

To be honest, I've never seen a brown bat. Tan, yes. Silver, of course, but brown seems a bit out of place for a bat to me.

Odd. Last time I was at Wal-Mart I saw like five different brands of brown bat. Of course, probably like 20 brands of tan ones and a fair amount of aluminum ones as well. But brown bats actually aren't uncommon at all.

Seeing as how I don't play Baseball (or watch it, or even go down the Sports section in my local Wal-Mart) I'm not supprised. I know there not uncommon, but I, myself, havent seen one. It's somewhat sad (and funny), actually ^_^

you can't have a website about weapons without a baseball bat

Ya, well even so I can't exactly give a (TF2) scout a brown bat now can I.

In WW1, when the Central powers were notified that the Canadians were in the other trench, they knew it would be a tough fight.

I would suggest watching how you word things before you get yourself into trouble. If I see anyone here posting in a disrespectful way towards Will or any Moderator again - that person is gone.

Damien, I agree that people need to watch how they talk to Will or Mods, but I do find that all of the moderators do not allow 'free speech'. I'm not saying that anything should be accepted that is said, but you should at least leave posts that entitle peoples opinions, even if talking against/about something. If you won't do this and ban whoever tries to voice their own opinion against something, you won't be any better then the Roblox community.

If this ends up being deleted and resulting in a ban to me, I really won't find the moderators of this community that fair.

Free speech is a relative concept. As Will Chapman pays for the hosting of this site, he's permitted to enact any rules he wants to on this board.

Frankly, what you've posted is exceptionally confusing. You agree that "people need to watch how they talk to Will or Mods", but then state, "you should at least leave posts that entitle peoples opinions, even if talking against/about something." So members should respect Will and moderating stuff, but if they don't, we shouldn't penalize them? Rules that aren't enforced are functionally meaningless. It's holding members of this board to the rules stated in the Accepted Behavior that keeps this board the friendly and positive gathering place that it is.

To be clear: people are permitted to post their opinions, both positive or negative, on anything (suggestions, prototypes, other people's MOCs) on this board so long as they do so in a constructive and polite manner. This issue Damien took with that post was not the substance of the post (a silver bat would also be useful) but its tone, which was obnoxious and condescending. Note that hobo4ever posted nearly the same thing but wasn't reprimanded in any way by the forums staff. It was Our Benifactors' tone that was the problem.

From the beginning of these forums, Will has made it clear he wants these forums to be a friendly, open board. This leaves plenty of room for well-thought, constructive critique and spirited discussion. What is not going to be permitted here are posts that are rude and abusive towards Will, the moderating staff, or any other forum members.

Lastly, if you have an issue with a moderator or anything else regarding forum policy, you should PM another mod or Will not post in an open forum.

Wow...to get back to the topic at hand...I assume that the baseball bat will be listed in the "accesories" category on the main store page. Will there be advanced notification here, or do we just need to keep on eye on the main page?

We'll certainly start a new thread when anything new is available on the main site, but advanced notice probably isn't going to occur given the timing of a particular release has several aspects that are out of even Will's hands. It's often hard to know exactly when new items will appear on the site with all the details that need to fall into place.

Rest assured, anything mass produced that's new is always made in enough volume to satisfy the initial demand, so don't worry about missing out on anything new if you don't order the day it's released.

What about the possibility of making it available for Minifig For Life Shoppers at the same time as Brickarms Shoppers? Is it possible? Or would it require a longer waiting period?

I recently came up with an idea on how people that do not like baseball can still make use of this:

Put on a Brickarms monopod of a matching color at the point that the minifig is holding the bat in this picture:

And Bam! You have yourself a very cartoonish (like ALL of LEGO(R) is) tonfa, better known as a nightstick.

Perhaps if Will molded the monopod in tan, your idea could prove all the better, Wilhelm.

Or make the baseball bat in black.

This combo can currently be done in brown though.

As much as think the upcoming baseball bat is an exceptionally versatile accessory, attaching a monopod to the handle really doesn't make for anything resembling an tonfa. The flair of the bat just doesn't fit the thin, sleek tonfa profile.

What does work for a tonfa, however, is the BrickArms monopod with a standard TLC lightsaber rod, either in black or red-brown. The item ends up being a bit too long, but it works well enough in the absence of a specifically designed item (which I should add Will is not currently developing).

Cut down flex tubing could also work.

I love that baseball bat..it has 2 purposes: as a weapon/ persuasion tool, or for baseball..either way, it would be a great addition to the brickarms collection! :) -Brick Fanatic
