Hello,
My name is Matt, and I live in PA not too far from Hershey. I'm 23 years old and have been an avid Lego fan ever since I was a wee lad of 4, tinkering around with my Duplo bricks. Currently, I'm attending college and am majoring in history, so my building projects often reflect my interest in this field. And at one time, I used to be really big into collecting toy soldiers, and this fascination has also carried itself over into some of my MOCs. In particular, my main focus of historical interest in MOC-building is that of the American Civil War. I think I have something around 200 soldiers, both Confederate and Union, and I like modeling different regiments for variety. This summer, I finally got around to making a battlefield, and I took it with me to Brickworld. I don't have any pictures up just yet since I'm setting my figures up again, but if you look up Brickworld 2008 on brickshelf you will eventually be able to spot it somewhere.

I have also been interested in brickarms ever since it first took flight. I love what Will has to offer and have always been satisfied with purchases I've made from him in the past. Plus, I look forward to future products and seeing brickarms branch off in various new directions.

I was glad to attend Brickworld 2008, as I finally got to meet Will. And Will, if you are reading this, you were really nice and pleasant, and it's great to have someone like you at the helm of Brickarms. And thanks for signing my Brickworld '08 Spy Bond figure as well as the prototypes you hooked me up with. It certainly was a pleasant surprise.

-Matt

PS: For those of you interested, here's a link to my brickshelf folder.

Welcome to the Forums!

I believe that I've seen your Civil War diorama among the BrickWorld 2008 pictures on Flickr. It's very nice.

Thanks Ironb3rry. I look forward to checking out the BA forums, but I probably won't be the most actively posting member. I'll try to contribute however I can though. And to answer your question, although I do lurk around on MCN, I'm not a member there.
