This was my first attempt at modding and I must admit it hurt a little to cut up some perfectly good BrickArms! However a MAB 38 SMG would work perfectly for my Italian WWII troops so I tought it was worth the try. It might be slightly oversized but overall I think its a fair representation of the actual weapon: The real MAB 38 SMG (top pics) (Edit - link updated) My BrickArms mod

Thats very good! I`ve allways wanted to make a mod withe a Garand and a MP40.
Vot WWII weapons for 2009! And together we can mow down Jerry or maybe even some pesky Allies to a brighter more violent future!

Great idea and mod! I'm glad you were able to put those Garands to use. :)
Is is pinned, or just glued?

Is is pinned, or just glued? Those Garands came in extremely useful, thanks again! ;) It's just glued ...cheap dollar store glue even! Luckily it seems to stick together eventhough I have clumsily dropped it on the floor a few times.

Ooh, me likey :-) It looks like some kind of machine gun ("Maybe that's because it is, Brickfan," "Oops, sorry.") Nice mod, though.

Well done, and I loved how you used it with your soldiers.

I must say, this is perhaps one of the best representations of the Bergman-Style MAB 38. I could picture this as a real BA stock item for some odd reason.

Sfzdk, that looks perfect! It looks just like the reference pic you gave us! I completely admire it. It looks very accurate, but if it were too accurate than it wouldn't have that Lego feel that we all love. Thats why I prefer Brickarms way over another vendor :D. Good job! My Puny Flickr
